Connecfy queues messages from a dashboard or API. Paired Android phones pick up the work, send through their SIM cards, and report the result. Accounts are provisioned manually; this is not a self-service signup product.

The technical choice is tangible: a paired Android phone provides the gateway to a SIM. The business application speaks to the API, rather than directly to the phone.

An HTTPS request submits an SMS to the API.
02The Connecfy queue

The API validates the request and queues the message. Accepted does not mean sent.
03The Android gateway

The paired phone polls the queue and picks up the work. It is not woken by a push notification.
04The SIM card
sent / failed
The phone sends through its SIM and the mobile network, then reports the result to Connecfy.

What if the phone is offline?

Without a gateway poll, the message waits in the queue. The API alone cannot guarantee delivery: phone availability, network coverage and the SIM plan matter too.

The documented model polls periodically, roughly every 20 seconds. A “sent” status is not proof of receipt.

The gateway asks for work. This model introduces a wait between queueing and the next poll.

One queue, distinct states

Queued, sending and sent describe different stages. An accepted request does not prove receipt.
